Kuwait's Food Authority Discusses Strengthening Cooperation in Food Security and Agricultural Trade with U.S. Delegation

Nada Abu Al-Nasr: The Director General of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, Dr. Shaima Al-Asfour, received a delegation from the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation between Kuwait and the United States in agricultural trade, food security, and regulatory coordination. The discussions covered preparations for a specialized training program led by American experts, as well as ways to develop regulatory procedures, efforts to harmonize food legislation across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and regional challenges related to food security and supply chains.
