Al-Yousef praises the organization of the tournament

Kuwait Football Association President Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef affirmed that the national team arrived at the Gulf Cup not merely to participate, but to compete and achieve a positive result, adding that the eight participating teams came to compete and showcase their best. This statement was made by Al-Yousef to journalists on the sidelines of the Blue Team’s training session at the auxiliary field of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah the day before yesterday.

He noted that the circumstances affecting Kuwaiti sports, along with previous suspension periods, had impacted the future of sports and the participation of youth categories, emphasizing that efforts are underway to build a strong team and that the national team is promising.

Al-Yousef extended his congratulations to the Saudi leadership on the occasion of Saudi National Day, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity. He praised the excellent organization by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the tournament.

The training session was attended by the Association’s Vice President for Technical Affairs and Head of the Delegation, Ayman Al-Husseini; the Association’s Secretary-General, Dr. Saleh Al-Majroub; former international player Saad Al-Houti; and media representatives.
