Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the deep fraternal ties and close historical relations that bind it with sisterly State of Kuwait, which grow stronger and more distinctive amid mutual commitment to enhancing and developing them across all fields.
Bahrain’s state news agency (BNA) reported that this statement came on Wednesday during the King’s audience for the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif, who came to pay respects to the King on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom. Sheikh Fahad conveyed greetings and appreciation from his brother, His Highness Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, along with his best wishes for the Kingdom and its noble people to continue achieving development and prosperity under the King’s wise leadership.
During the audience, King Hamad welcomed the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif, and instructed him to convey his greetings and sincere best wishes to his brother, His Highness Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, wishing him good health and happiness, and to the brotherly Kuwaiti people, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.
The Bahraini King praised the pioneering role played by His Highness Prince Sheikh Meshal in supporting and developing the distinguished Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, as well as Kuwait’s honorable stance toward its sister Kingdom of Bahrain and its benevolent efforts to strengthen joint Gulf cooperation. He highlighted the high level of fruitful cooperation and joint coordination achieved between Bahrain and Kuwait at all levels, particularly in the security field, which serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly countries and reinforces their entrenched fraternal ties. He emphasized the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between the two countries, especially in light of the delicate circumstances currently witnessed by the region.
For his part, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif expressed his profound gratitude and deep appreciation to the King of Bahrain for the warm reception and generosity of hospitality shown.
