Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi confirmed that the ministry began today the personal interviews for candidates applying for supervisory positions in the cooperative sector, with 100 candidates participating on the first day out of a total of 250 candidates whose interviews will be conducted over three days, in preparation for selecting the highest-performing national talents based on the overall results of the written exam and personal interviews for the available supervisory positions.

Al-Ajmi clarified that the candidates on the first day include 55 applicants for the position of financial supervisor and 45 applicants for the position of administrative supervisor. He noted that the selection process follows specific controls and criteria that ensure equal opportunity and merit-based differentiation among candidates according to evaluation results, thereby achieving the objective of these job openings, which is to attract national talents capable of bearing the responsibilities of financial and administrative supervision in the cooperative sector.

He stated that the Ministry of Social Affairs is proceeding with a clear and well-considered policy of replacing national talents in supervisory positions within the cooperative sector, in line with directives from the political leadership, cabinet decisions, and instructions from the Minister of Social Affairs, Women, Children and Elderly Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili. He emphasized that the goal is not limited to filling positions, but extends to selecting qualified national talents capable of performing their duties efficiently and competently.

He added that empowering national cadres in supervisory roles represents an important aspect of the ministry’s strategy to enhance citizen presence in positions directly related to supervision, follow-up, and protection of public funds, and to raise the level of discipline and efficiency in cooperative work. He pointed out that the ministry views national talents as a fundamental pillar in developing the work system and improving performance levels in the cooperative sector.

Al-Ajmi explained that the current selection procedures are based on transparency, impartiality, and equal opportunity, with all candidates subject to uniform standards, leading to the selection of the most deserving candidates based on final results. In case of a tie in candidates’ scores, a public lottery will be conducted. He affirmed that the ministry is keen to ensure that every stage of the selection process is clear, organized, and grounded in transparency and impartiality.
