Representative of His Highness the Crown Prince meets the Prime Minister of Pakistan: Agreement reached to establish a strategic dialogue between the two countries

Representing His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, met with Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the strong bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop these relations in various fields were discussed. It was also agreed to work towards establishing a strategic dialogue between the two friendly countries, chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of both nations, to serve as an institutional and regular framework for consultation and coordination, thereby elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons that serve the shared interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

The meeting also addressed key issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly and discussed the latest developments and trends in the regional and international arenas.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, also met with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of the friendly Republic of Senegal on the sidelines of the opening session of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, wishing him good health and the Republic of Senegal and its friendly people continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting included discussions on the bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Senegal, ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, and an exchange of views on the latest regional and international developments.
