Al Jazeera resumes transit services via Terminal T5 starting October 1

Jazeera Airways has announced the resumption of transit and flight connection services for passengers via the Jazeera Terminal T5 at Kuwait International Airport, effective October 1, 2026. This move provides travelers with convenient connection options to continue their journeys across the airline’s network, which currently comprises more than 45 destinations.

The announcement was made during a meeting with business partners and customers held earlier today, during which the company also opened bookings for transit flights.

The resumption of these services marks a significant step in enhancing connectivity between Jazeera Airways’ destinations. Eligible passengers can now transit through Kuwait and seamlessly continue their travel to their next destination on the airline’s flights.

From its hub in Kuwait, which serves as the central node of its operations network, Jazeera Airways connects passengers via the Jazeera Terminal T5 to a wide range of markets and destinations across various regions. The resumption of flight connection services offers travelers broader and more flexible travel options, complementing the direct flights operated by the company and supporting its plans for growth and expansion in the coming phase.

Travelers can benefit from connection options across several major travel corridors, including routes between the Indian subcontinent, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Mashreq countries, as well as between Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, in addition to numerous other destinations within the Jazeera Airways network. As the company continues to expand and add new, high-demand destinations such as Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Aswan in Egypt, these services will provide travelers with additional travel and seamless connection options via Kuwait.

Parathan Pasupathy, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, stated: “Since the full resumption of operations at the Jazeera Terminal T5 in May 2026, we have continued operating within restricted hours and without transit or flight connection services for passengers. The return of these services via Kuwait, effective October 1, represents a significant milestone for both Jazeera Airways and our customers. It allows us to better leverage the strength of our destination network, offer more travel options, and facilitate passenger movement between the markets we serve.”

Flight connection services also provide greater flexibility for travelers, enabling Jazeera Airways to connect destinations that may not have direct flights between them, offering convenient options and competitive fares via Kuwait.

Customers wishing to book eligible connecting flights can make a single booking covering their entire journey on Jazeera Airways via the company’s website or mobile app, and continue their travel through Kuwait International Airport. Jazeera Airways encourages travelers to ensure that their contact details registered in their bookings, including mobile phone numbers and email addresses, are up to date to receive the latest information and updates regarding their flights.
