Food Authority: 100 kilograms of food products destroyed during inspection in Al-Ahmadi

As part of ongoing supervisory rounds, the Al-Ahmad Governorate Inspection Department conducted an inspection tour to verify the safety of food products and compliance with health requirements. The inspection resulted in the disposal of 100 kilograms of food items, in line with the Authority’s continued efforts to strengthen oversight and protect consumer health and safety.

In another development, and as part of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition’s efforts to develop the school canteen system and enhance the safety and quality of food provided to students, the program “Good Morning, Kuwait” hosted Maryam Al-Ibrahim, Head of the Preventive Nutrition Department at the Nutritional Awareness Directorate, to discuss the Authority’s preparations for the academic year and the approved health and food requirements for school canteens. During the interview, she outlined the process for approving companies and the types of food items permitted for sale, as well as the field visits conducted by specialized teams to ensure compliance with these requirements. She also highlighted the key health requirements that must be met within school canteens and the Authority’s regulatory role in ensuring safe and healthy food for students.
