Jahra Governor Discusses with Environment Director General Enhancing Cooperation and Coordination on Several Shared Files

Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habshi received Nouf Bahbahani, the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Environment, and her accompanying delegation, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination on several shared environmental issues. During the meeting, topics related to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources were reviewed, most notably the Jahra Reserve and its environmental significance, alongside discussions on supporting efforts to protect it and raising community awareness of the importance of biodiversity and wildlife. The Governor affirmed the Jahra Governorate’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Public Authority for Environment and relevant entities, and to supporting environmental initiatives and programs that contribute to achieving sustainability goals and elevating environmental awareness across the governorate’s various areas. Attending the meeting were Major General Eng. Fahad Al-Miyah, Advisor to the Office of the Jahra Governor; Sheikha Al-Ibrahim, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department and Official Spokesperson of the Public Authority for Environment; Nasser Al-Shammari; Bushair Al-Qattan from the Public Relations and Media Department; and Al-Bandari Al-Habshi, Head of the Environmental Sustainability Team in the governorate.
