Head of the Fire and Rescue Department Inspects Readiness of Force Teams for the Rainy Season

Lieutenant General Talal Al-Rumai, head of the General Fire Force, conducted an inspection tour of the Support Center yesterday to assess the readiness and preparedness of the General Fire Force teams to handle the rainy season and to evaluate on-site the efficiency of the machinery and equipment dedicated to addressing the impacts of unstable weather conditions.

In a press statement, the Fire Force said the tour included a comprehensive review of the equipment and machinery prepared for rapid intervention operations. This included advanced hydraulic water-pumping units, as well as electric and mechanical pumps of various sizes and operational capacities, alongside portable boats designed to access areas where fire-fighting vehicles cannot enter. These boats are used in rescue and evacuation operations for individuals trapped inside their vehicles or homes.

Al-Rumai also reviewed the approved field plans, the mechanisms for deploying teams and equipment, and the level of readiness to respond immediately to potential reports and incidents. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and rapid response to protect lives and property and to minimize damage.

The tour was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Omar Abdulaziz Hamad, acting Deputy President for Civil Protection, along with several senior officials from the General Fire Force.
