28,890 violations recorded and 243 wanted individuals apprehended last week

The General Directorate of Emergency Police (Najda) carried out intensive security and traffic operations across various governorates of the country from the 13th to the 19th of the current month. These operations resulted in the execution of 1,936 security operations, the detection of 1,349 diverse traffic violations, and the apprehension of 102 individuals wanted by competent authorities. Additionally, 90 individuals were detained for having expired residency permits, and 36 individuals were apprehended for lacking official identification. Thirteen wanted vehicles were also seized.

Furthermore, patrol units referred 15 suspects to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, impounded five vehicles, and responded to 107 traffic accidents, in addition to recording 415 incident reports. On the humanitarian front, Najda police patrols provided assistance in 878 cases, fulfilling their security and humanitarian roles and demonstrating a commitment to rapid response to reports and providing support and aid to road users.

In the same context, the General Traffic Directorate continued its field and supervisory efforts across various governorates from the 14th to the 20th of the current month. These efforts resulted in the detection of 28,890 diverse traffic violations and the handling of 3,030 traffic reports. Additionally, 29 individuals wanted by competent authorities were apprehended, along with 35 individuals with expired residency permits and five individuals lacking official identification. Five individuals in an abnormal state were also apprehended, eight juveniles were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution, and 28 wanted vehicles were seized. A total of 241 vehicles and two automated vehicles were impounded for traffic violations, and 25 individuals were placed in preventive detention, with the necessary legal measures taken against them.

Regarding traffic accidents, patrol units responded to 1,315 collision accidents and 182 collision accidents involving injuries. Teams and patrol units continued their field deployment and rapid response to reports and accidents, contributing to securing roads, providing immediate handling of emergency cases, and ensuring the safety of road users.
