Video: Under the presence and supervision of the First Deputy, a tight net captures a suspect in the Saad Al-Abdullah district who manufactures "Shabu" in a garage and trades in narcotics

Under the presence and supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics successfully apprehended a suspect involved in manufacturing shabu (methamphetamine), distributing and trafficking narcotics. The suspect exploited a warehouse in the Kabd area to conduct his criminal activities. His Kuwaiti nationality had previously been revoked due to confirmed dual citizenship and the possession of another nationality.

The First Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Interior is resolutely committed to combating the scourge of drugs and cutting off its sources, and will show no leniency in enforcing the law against anyone who threatens the security of the country or endangers its citizens.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the apprehension followed investigative procedures and surveillance of the suspect’s movements. A carefully planned ambush was set, resulting in his arrest at his residence in the Saad Al-Abdullah area, where two kilograms of shabu were found, along with raw materials used in the production of psychotropic substances.

The statement added: “Additionally, funds were discovered hidden in a tightly sealed underground pit. Upon confrontation, the suspect confessed to manufacturing shabu in a warehouse in the Kabd area and stated that the seized funds were proceeds from his narcotics trafficking.”

The statement continued: “Necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect and the seized items, and procedures are underway to confiscate the warehouse used for manufacturing narcotics.”
