Dunnis: We have experience and youth, and our goal is to win the championship title

Greek coach Donis, manager of the Saudi national team, affirmed that the "Green Falcons" aim to win the title at the 27th Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27). He noted that the disciplinary exclusion of Musab Al-Juwayr represents a technical loss for the team, but emphasized his confidence in the current squad and its ability to overcome the surrounding circumstances.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Donis said, "I am happy with this competition and its hosting in Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jeddah. We must represent Saudi Arabia in the best possible way to please our fans, and we call on them to support us and give us more confidence."

Regarding the Saudi team's objectives in the Gulf tournament and whether it is aiming for the title or using the matches to prepare for the Asian Cup, Donis clarified that representing the Saudi national team imposes a responsibility on everyone to deliver their best performances.

He added, "I believe that representing the Saudi national team makes things different from what we experienced in the World Cup. We want to develop and play better, and our goal is to win the tournament. I think the overall atmosphere is very good."

The Saudi coach also addressed the pressures that may accompany the "Green Falcons" in a tournament held on home soil and in front of their fans, stressing that managing these pressures is an important part of preparing for the competition.

He added, "We have experience and youth, and when the team is ready for everything, we want the players to be able to communicate well. Our group includes three teams that participated in the World Cup, which means there is a lot of quality."

For his part, Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais said that the "Green Falcons" failure to win the Gulf Cup title for 23 years does not represent pressure on the players, but rather a challenge and a motivation to reclaim the title. He emphasized that the team is looking to achieve an ideal start against the "Blue Waves."
