KIB Launches 'DriveNow' App to Streamline Car Purchase and Financing Procedures

Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the launch of its new “DriveNow” app on the sidelines of its participation in the 2026 World of Cars Exhibition, held at the International Exhibition Center in Mishref from September 21 to 26. The app represents a continuation of the bank’s vigorous efforts to provide innovative banking solutions that align with customers’ evolving needs, simplifying the car ownership process by integrating vehicle search and financing requests into a single, comprehensive platform.

Currently available for Android and iOS users, the “DriveNow” app enables customers to browse available vehicles, compare specifications and prices, explore financing options, and select the most suitable repayment plan. It also allows users to submit financing applications and track their status step by step until final approval is issued.

During the exhibition, KIB is offering its customers 25 financing deals with 0% profit rates on a diverse range of vehicles. These include the Toyota Land Cruiser, in collaboration with Al-Sayer Group, which also includes free maintenance up to 50,000 kilometers and a five-year warranty. These offers are exclusive to visitors of the World of Cars Exhibition throughout the event’s duration. Additionally, the 0% profit offer applies to the Nissan X-Trail from Al-Babtain Group, the GAC GS8 from Al-Mutawa and Al-Qadi, and the Avatr 07 from Adel Al-Ghanim Motors, among many other offers that provide visitors with a comprehensive opportunity to choose their vehicle and benefit from the bank’s specialized financing solutions.

Commenting on the new app, Uthman Towfighi, General Manager of Retail Banking at KIB, stated: “The ‘DriveNow’ app embodies our continuous commitment to enhancing our retail banking services by designing solutions that meet customers’ daily needs and make their financial transactions simpler and easier. Given that car ownership is a significant financial decision for many of our customers, we have ensured the provision of a single digital platform that streamlines all stages of this process.”

Towfighi added: “We chose to unveil ‘DriveNow’ at the World of Cars Exhibition because it is one of the most important specialized events in Kuwait’s automotive sector. Moreover, our participation in the exhibition represents a valuable opportunity to engage directly with customers, understand their aspirations, and showcase our innovative digital banking solutions designed specifically to meet all their needs.”

At the World of Cars Exhibition, KIB welcomes visitors through three specialized booths, allowing them to explore Al-Sayer Group’s offers, Takaful (Islamic insurance) services, and a dedicated booth for direct sales of GAC vehicles. In addition to exploring vehicles, the bank offers visitors a unique and interactive entertainment experience, including a virtual reality simulation game and a coffee corner throughout the exhibition days.

From his side, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, Assistant General Manager of Retail Banking at KIB, said: “Whether customers have settled on a specific car choice or are still considering their options, the new ‘DriveNow’ app will provide them with numerous benefits that simplify the ownership process. It helps streamline many of the multiple procedures customers previously had to undertake when transitioning from selecting a vehicle to arranging its financing.”

Al-Shammari clarified: “The ‘DriveNow’ app operates in accordance with the Islamic banking principles adopted at KIB. It will provide multiple financing solutions through the platform, including the Islamic ‘Musaqama’ financing product. Once an application is submitted, the bank’s team will contact the customer to complete the procedures, with the financing subject to KIB’s specific credit terms and approvals.”

He added that the vehicles listed on the app are provided through commercial partners and authorized dealers, who are responsible for supplying, delivering, warranting, and handling exchange or return services for the vehicles, while KIB’s role is limited to providing and facilitating financing solutions.
