The Emir's Representative held talks with the Prime Minister of Canada on bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments

The representative of His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, met with the Prime Minister of friendly Canada, Mark Carney, during the opening session of the High-Level Week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, the close relations between the State of Kuwait and Canada were reviewed, and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields were discussed. It was also agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between the two friendly countries, chaired by the foreign ministers of both nations, to serve as an institutionalized and regular framework for consultation and coordination, thereby elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons in line with the shared interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples. Additionally, the main issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly were discussed, along with the latest developments and updates on both the regional and international scenes.
