Deputy of His Highness the Crown Prince Receives the President of the European Council

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, received European Council President António Costa at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, to the President of the European Council, along with best wishes for his success and for the peoples of the friendly European Union countries to achieve further development and prosperity.

The meeting discussed partnership and cooperation relations between the State of Kuwait and the European Union, as well as ways to develop them in the interest of shared objectives. It also addressed key developments on the regional and international fronts.

Attending the meeting were Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs Ambassador Sadiq Maqrabi, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States of America Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, and Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna.
