Deputy Emir of Kuwait Holds Talks with Turkish President on Ways to Enhance and Develop Close Bilateral Relations

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, representing His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the friendly Republic of Turkey, at the permanent mission of the Republic of Turkey to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, to the Turkish President, along with best wishes for his good health and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly Republic of Turkey and its people.

The meeting discussed the close bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Turkey, as well as ways to enhance and develop these relations across various fields in the interest of both countries and their friendly peoples. It also addressed regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.

Attending the meeting were Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs Ambassador Sadiq Maqafi, and Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna.
