Kuwait and Saudi Arabia discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in military and security fields

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahib chaired the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the meeting of the Military and Security Coordination Committee, which is a subsidiary body of the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council. The meeting was held via video conferencing technology, with representatives of relevant authorities from both the Kuwaiti and Saudi sides taking part, alongside the attendance of several security leaders and representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Cybersecurity Center, and the Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha).

According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, the meeting discussed several agenda items and joint initiatives, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in military and security fields, along with developing mechanisms for exchanging information and expertise, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency and effectiveness of joint efforts. The statement clarified that the meeting takes place within the framework of the solid fraternal relations uniting Kuwait and the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the mutual commitment to continuing to strengthen security and military integration and harmonizing joint efforts, in order to support the security and stability of the two brotherly countries and the region.
