Zain Celebrates the Next Generation of Digital Talent

Zain Kuwait celebrated the successful conclusion of the current season of the “Kuwait Codes” initiative, in strategic partnership with CODED Academy, during a closing ceremony held at Martyr’s Park. The event featured showcases of students’ projects and honored winners and outstanding participants across various tracks of the program.

During the ceremony, Zain recognized students who had developed winning projects, and presented the “Zain Youth and Community Award” to the project that best leveraged technical skills and digital tools to deliver an innovative idea serving society and youth. This step reflects the company’s commitment to encouraging participants to transform their acquired knowledge into tangible solutions and impactful ideas.

The conclusion of this season marks a new milestone in the five-year partnership between Zain and CODED Academy, which has helped extend the reach of “Kuwait Codes” to over 5,500 students. Through hands-on educational experiences, the initiative aims to introduce youth to technology at an early stage, develop their skills, and help them explore their future academic and career interests.

The partnership with “Kuwait Codes” aligns with Zain’s corporate sustainability strategy, which prioritizes youth empowerment and digital education, supporting initiatives that contribute to building national capabilities and preparing a generation equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for active participation in the digital economy and future labor market.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Hamad Al-Musaybih, Director of Corporate Communications and Relations at Zain Kuwait, said: “Today, we celebrate the successful conclusion of another season of ‘Kuwait Codes.’ However, we do not view this occasion as the end of a training program, but rather as the beginning of a new phase in these young people’s journey toward excellence and creativity in the world of technology and digital innovation.”

He added: “At Zain, we are proud of our five-year partnership with CODED Academy, through which we have successfully built a continuous narrative of empowering Kuwaiti youth in digital fields. The initiative’s impact has now reached over 5,500 students, a figure that reflects the growing passion among Kuwaiti youth for technology and their readiness to help shape the future of the digital economy.”

Al-Musaybih continued: “For us, the value of the program is not measured solely by the number of participants, but by the practical skills they acquire, the increased confidence in their abilities, and their clearer understanding of the opportunities and specializations they can build upon in the future.”

He emphasized that the rapid pace of artificial intelligence advancements necessitates a shift from merely familiarizing oneself with these technologies to acquiring the skills needed to deploy them consciously and responsibly. He noted that the role of institutions extends beyond providing tools; it involves empowering youth with the knowledge and skills that enable them to innovate and benefit from technology effectively and positively. This is what drives Zain to continue its partnership with the “Kuwait Codes” program.

The 2026 season offered a primarily hands-on educational experience benefiting approximately 1,000 young participants. It featured three main tracks: cybersecurity, Python programming using AI technologies, and web development using AI. Participants progressed from learning foundational concepts to applying them through challenges, workshops, and practical projects showcased at the program’s conclusion.

The program also provided participants with the opportunity to engage with real-world work environments and explore technology applications across various sectors. As part of its accompanying activities, Zain hosted nearly 200 students at its Shuwaikh headquarters during the season. There, they gained practical exposure to AI, cybersecurity, and customer service, alongside training on the responsible and conscious use of modern technologies.
