Explosions at a Syrian army site near the town of Al-Ais in southern Aleppo

The Syrian news agency SANA reported that several powerful explosions occurred at a Syrian army site near the city of Aleppo.

According to SANA, Faisal Muhammad Ali, the commander of civil defense operations in Aleppo, stated that the continued explosions in the Al-Ais area south of Aleppo are hindering the arrival of ambulance and rescue teams to the scene. He warned civilians to keep away from the explosion sites.

For his part, the Governor of Aleppo said that, given the explosions in the Al-Ais area and its surroundings south of Aleppo, he urged everyone to stay indoors and avoid heading to or gathering near the explosion sites, in order to protect their own safety and that of the response teams.

He confirmed that hospitals, ambulance, and emergency teams are on standby, and that the relevant authorities are monitoring the situation on the ground and responding to any emergencies.

The governor called on everyone to “comply with the instructions, refrain from sharing or disseminating any unconfirmed information, and await official statements from the competent authorities.”
