President of the Olympic Council of Asia Visits Athletes' Village at "Aichi-Nagoya 2026"

Sheikh Juma Al-Majed Al-Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, visited the Athletes’ Village for the 20th Asian Games “Aichi–Nagoya 2026,” accompanied by Ms. Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee. During the visit, the President of the Olympic Council of Asia and the President of the International Olympic Committee reviewed the facilities and services provided to athletes and participating delegations, as well as the operational and logistical arrangements in place, all aimed at creating a comprehensive environment that supports athletes throughout their participation in the largest sporting event on the continent. They also met with several participating athletes, exchanged views on their experiences in Aichi–Nagoya, wished them success in their competitions, and praised the sporting spirit and Olympic values they embody, which unite the Asian continent. The visit underscores the commitment to closely monitoring the various organizational aspects of the Games and gaining firsthand insight into the athletes’ experience, recognizing them as the core of the Olympic movement and the foundation for the success of the Games.
