Al-Badawi: The Houthi militia's futile attempts to continue require a firm international stance to deter them

Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the continued attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the launch of a ballistic missile toward the city of Riyadh, in addition to targeting several other cities within the Kingdom.

He affirmed that the Houthi terrorist militia’s futile continued attempts to target civilians and infrastructure in the Kingdom reveal its aggressive and treacherous approach, and necessitate a firm international stance to deter these reprehensible attacks.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the GCC and its member states’ unwavering solidarity with Riyadh, and their full support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stressing that any targeting of the Kingdom constitutes a threat to the security and stability of the region.
