Al-Rai and Aayan alliance launches preparations for the Saudi Super Cup

The “Al-Rai Media Group” and “Ayan Leasing and Investment Company” alliance announced the appointment of Khalid Saleh Al-Sayer, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Rai Global Advertising and Promotion Company, as Director of the Saudi Super Cup – Kuwait Edition, and Wael Muhammad Al-Qatami, Deputy General Manager of Operations at “Ayan,” as Deputy Director. The alliance is hosting the tournament under the official agreement signed last Monday with the Saudi Football Federation, represented by its exclusive commercial partner, “SMC Vibes,” the Saudi Media Group.

The appointment of Al-Sayer and Al-Qatami marks the beginning of organizational, technical, and operational preparations for the 13th edition of the Saudi Super Cup for the 2026-2027 season, scheduled to be held in Kuwait from December 19 to 23 next year at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, featuring Al-Nassr, Al-Kholood, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah.

On this occasion, Al-Sayer affirmed that work and preparations for the tournament began immediately after the official announcement of the hosting agreement signing. He noted that the alliance directly entered the practical implementation phase by preparing organizational structures, distributing responsibilities, and developing plans for various tournament tracks, ensuring early readiness for the event and providing the necessary requirements for its success.

He stated that the first major milestone in the preparatory program is the upcoming tournament draw, which will be held in Kuwait on October 14 next year, to determine the two semi-final matchups.

Al-Sayer added that work is underway to form working teams that will support the event across various organizational, administrative, media, marketing, and logistical fields. He noted that the formation of these teams is nearing completion, paving the way for them to commence their duties according to a comprehensive work plan and a timeline that aligns with all preparation stages leading up to the start of the competitions.

Al-Sayer pointed out that direct coordination with the Saudi Football Federation and “SMC Vibes” continues to complete all procedures and arrangements related to the tournament.

For his part, Al-Qatami said that the coming period will see an acceleration in the pace of preparations as the draw date approaches, followed by the transition to subsequent stages.

He affirmed that the “Al-Rai” and “Ayan” alliance will put its capabilities and experience at the service of the tournament, which is being held in Kuwait for the first time. He noted that plans, arrangements, and programs for the tournament will be announced sequentially as they are completed and approved in coordination with the Saudi side.

Al-Qatami added that Kuwait’s hosting of this edition of the Saudi Super Cup represents a significant organizational responsibility and an opportunity to present a sporting event worthy of the tournament’s stature and its fan base. He confirmed that the working teams will operate according to a clear plan and continuous coordination among all concerned parties, ensuring full readiness in all organizational and operational aspects.

Al-Qatami further stated that the focus will be on the finest details related to the experience of the teams, fans, and guests, as well as the accompanying events. He noted that the goal is to deliver a distinguished edition that reflects Kuwait’s organizational capabilities, leaves a positive impression on participants and fans, and contributes to enhancing the tournament’s success on both the sporting and fan engagement levels.
