Numeir's Heritage releases "Damn Love" and bets on his album in Modern Standard Arabic

Bashar Jasim Al-Kandari, the distributor, composer, and singer Tareeth Namir, has released his new song “Sahqan lil-Hubb” (“To Hell with Love”), performed in Modern Standard Arabic. The lyrics are by Amjad Al-Tai, while the composition, arrangement, and musical production are by Tareeth Namir. Mixing and mastering were handled by Al-Han Production.

Al-Anbaa’ contacted Tareeth, who is currently in Dubai. He stated: “Out of my love for Modern Standard Arabic, I chose to sing this track, which I consider one of my most important vocal works. It comes after a long hiatus in the presentation of Modern Standard Arabic songs in Iraq and across the Arab world, particularly among the younger generation of artists, who have largely distanced themselves from this style and lyrical approach. This song marks my true launch into the world of purposeful music and will serve as a prelude to my upcoming musical project: my full album titled ‘Quloo Laaha’ (Tell Her). It will be entirely new in every aspect—melody, lyrics, arrangement, and vocals.”

He concluded by saying: “Although many believe that today’s audience no longer possesses the same taste for this type of song, I remain confident in the Arab audience and committed to delivering art that respects their taste while preserving the authenticity of the word and the beauty of the melody. Through this project, I aim to present a contemporary, youth-oriented song in Modern Standard Arabic—one that blends the spirit of the times with the authenticity of the word, and that befits our society and our rich, creative artistic heritage.”
