Six-month prison sentence for former minister and deputy in fraud case

Abdul Karim Ahmad: The Misdemeanors Division of the General Court issued an in-person ruling yesterday, sentencing a former minister and former deputy to six months’ imprisonment with hard labor, with immediate execution of the sentence, in a case of fraud and swindling against a citizen. The complainant stated in his lawsuit that the defendant had misappropriated his funds in connection with a transaction and a commercial deal.
