The “Al-Rai Media Group” and “Aayan Leasing and Investment Company” alliance announced the appointment of Khaled Salah Al-Sayer, CEO of Al-Rai Global Advertising and Public Relations, as manager of the Saudi Super Cup – Kuwait edition, and Wael Mohammed Al-Qutami, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Aayan, as his deputy. The alliance will host the tournament under the official agreement signed last Monday with the Saudi Football Federation, represented by its exclusive commercial partner, SMC Vibes (Al-Wasael Group).
The appointments of Al-Sayer and Al-Qutami come as part of the organizational, technical, and operational preparations for the 13th edition of the Saudi Super Cup for the 2026-2027 season, scheduled to take place in Kuwait from December 19 to 23 next year at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with participation from Al-Nassr, Al-Khaleej, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah.
On this occasion, Al-Sayer confirmed that work and preparations for the tournament began from the very first moment of the official announcement of the hosting agreement, noting that the alliance immediately entered the practical implementation phase to ensure early readiness for the event and provide the necessary requirements for its success. He stated that the first major milestone in the preparatory program is the upcoming tournament draw, which will be held in Kuwait on October 14 next year to determine the two semi-final matchups.
For his part, Al-Qutami said that the coming period will witness an acceleration in the pace of preparations as the draw date approaches, followed by a transition to the next stages. He emphasized that the “Al-Rai” and “Aayan” alliance will place its capabilities and expertise at the service of the tournament, which is being held in Kuwait for the first time, adding that plans, arrangements, and programs for the event will be announced sequentially as they are completed and approved in coordination with the Saudi side.
