Qatar condemns in the strongest terms Houthi militia attacks on Riyadh

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms on Sunday the Houthi militia’s attempt to target Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile, as well as its attempts to target civilians and civilian facilities in the cities of Bisha, Taif, Farsan, and Yanbu.

In a statement, the ministry said that these aggressions constitute shameful aggressive behavior, a reprehensible disregard for the lives of civilians, a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty, and a clear breach of international law.

It emphasized its categorical rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and civilians, and underscored the necessity of immediately halting these irresponsible actions.

The ministry reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests. It confirmed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Qatar’s security and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
