Arab League condemns continued Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Arab League condemned, on Sunday, the continued attacks by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the launch of a ballistic missile toward the city of Riyadh and attempts to target several Saudi cities and regions.

In a statement, the League affirmed that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and a threat to the safety of civilians, thereby exacerbating tensions and endangering the security and stability of the region.

It reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents within its territory.

The League emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security, calling for an immediate cessation of these attacks, the avoidance of further escalation, respect for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adherence to the rules of international law.
