Education Ministry honors 48 teachers who won the Abdullah Al-Mutawa Quran Prize

Under the patronage of Minister of Education Engineer Sayed Jalal Sayed Abdulmohsen Al-Tabtabai, and in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial, and Technical Affairs Engineer Mohammed Al-Khalidi, the closing ceremony was held to honor the teachers who won the “Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Mutaww – may God have mercy on him – Award for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran” for the year 2026, at the Ministry of Education Theater.

Al-Khalidi, in a speech delivered on behalf of the Minister of Education, affirmed the Ministry’s pride in “this distinguished group of male and female teachers from the Ministry of Education,” noting that this recognition is a testament to their efforts and excellence, and an acknowledgment of their great educational role in building generations and instilling the noble values and principles upon which Kuwaiti society is founded.

Al-Khalidi explained that the Ministry of Education places great emphasis on supporting all initiatives that contribute to developing the educational process and enhancing the status of teachers, stressing the importance of community partnership with institutions and entities that support the educational field and serve the Book of God Almighty.

At the end of his speech, Al-Khalidi conveyed the Minister’s thanks and appreciation to the administrators of the “Third of the late Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Mutaww” for their sponsorship of the award, and to the “Al-Mutamayyizin” Foundation for its service to the Holy Quran and Islamic sciences, in addition to the Ministry’s Department of Technical Guidance for Islamic Education, for their efforts in organizing and sustaining the award.

Al-Khalidi also congratulated the winning male and female teachers, wishing them continued excellence and dedication in their educational mission, and asking God Almighty to shower the deceased with His vast mercy, and to protect Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, and to preserve the blessings of security and stability for them.

For his part, Asaad Al-Mani, Director of the Department of Technical Guidance for Islamic Education, stated that this ceremony was held to honor 48 teachers (24 male and 24 female) among the outstanding winners of the eighth Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Mutaww Award for Memorizing and Reciting the Quran, noting that the number of participants in the award reached approximately 2,000.
