As part of the General Authority for Food and Nutrition’s ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments, the Al-Jahra Governorate Inspection Department carried out periodic inspection campaigns at several warehouses and factories in the governorate, to verify compliance with approved laws, regulations, and health requirements.
The inspections resulted in the seizure of several violations, the most prominent of which included displaying and offering food items unfit for human consumption, operating and managing a food establishment before obtaining the necessary license from the Authority, as well as failure to comply with health requirements.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its periodic and regular inspection rounds and taking the necessary legal action against violators, thereby contributing to the protection of consumers’ health and safety.
