Salah's hat-trick leads Trabzonspor to rout Galatasaray

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick to lead Trabzonspor to a 4-0 victory over visiting Galatasaray on Saturday in the sixth round of the Turkish Super Lig.

Trabzonspor dominated the match from the opening minutes, with Salah opening the scoring in the fourth minute after breaking away from midfield and slotting the ball past Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Nwakaeme Savio added a second goal for the hosts in the 39th minute, assisted by Salah, before the Egyptian striker scored his second personal goal and the team’s third in the 44th minute.

Salah completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, scoring Trabzonspor’s fourth goal after sprinting toward the goal and finishing from close range. He was substituted in the 88th minute to a standing ovation from his team’s fans.

According to statistics provider Opta, Salah became the first player in Trabzonspor’s history to score a hat-trick against Galatasaray at home in the Turkish Super Lig.

Galatasaray finished the final minutes of the match with ten men after referee showed a red card to French defender Leslie Oguochukwu in the 86th minute for a heavy challenge on a Trabzonspor player.

Trabzonspor moved up to sixth place with 10 points from six matches, while Galatasaray remained top of the table with 13 points.
