Mohammed Shaker: "Like the Wind" at Jaber Cultural Center

The audience at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center enjoyed an exceptional musical night last Thursday with young Lebanese singer Mohammad Fadl Shaker. In his second appearance, he succeeded in creating a unique atmosphere of intimacy and joy, transforming the stage into a vibrant space filled with singing, interaction, and beautiful memories.

Mohammad Fadl’s performance was conducted by Maestro Bassem Nemer. Works by his father, Fadl Shaker, were featured, including “Ya Ghaib,” “Dahkat Al-Dunya,” and “Ahla Rasma,” among others. The audience received these songs with evident enthusiasm, singing along with him in a scene that reflected the deep place these melodies hold in their hearts.

As is customary in such musical evenings, the classics were also present. Mohammad Fadl Shaker took the audience back to the era of beautiful Arabic song, performing a number of timeless works with his voice and emotion. These included “Yana Yana” by the late artist Sabah and “Zay Al-Hawa” by the Nightingale, Abdel Halim Hafez, affirming that his relationship with singing is not limited to a single genre but extends to a vast expanse of Arab musical memory.

Mohammad Fadl Shaker’s night passed “like the wind,” as his fans described it, for he is one of the young singers who carry a significant artistic legacy and possess beautiful vocal abilities that transport listeners to a world of majesty and tarab.
