Kuwaiti telecommunications company stc, as the strategic innovation partner, participated in the fifth edition of the IDC CIO Summit in Kuwait 2026. The event, held under the theme “The Age of Intelligent Systems: Redefining Digital Leadership in the AI Economy,” brought together a distinguished group of IT leaders and decision-makers from across Kuwait.

stc’s participation in the summit, held at the Jumeirah Hotel in Kuwait City, underscores its commitment to supporting Kuwait’s evolving technology landscape and fostering constructive dialogue on the opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of digital transformation. stc’s involvement in the IDC Kuwait CIO Summit reflects its comprehensive approach to digital transformation, centered on adopting technologies that enhance the customer experience.

The summit’s agenda addressed a wide range of issues facing today’s technology leaders, covering areas such as artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and workforce development.

The summit was opened by Najat Hussein, Acting Director General of the Central Information Technology Authority, who shared the government’s vision for accelerating digital transformation and innovation in Kuwait. Eng. Dhari Al-Qurashi, Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Sector at stc, also participated, alongside several senior executives from various departments, serving as speakers and panelists. They exchanged perspectives on key topics shaping the future of technology and business.

As part of the summit’s agenda, Ahmed Al-Faylaka, General Manager of Applications at stc, delivered a presentation titled “The Foundation of Everything.” During the session, Al-Faylaka outlined stc’s vision and expertise in technology and innovation, highlighting the importance of robust digital infrastructure as organizations continue to modernize their operations and adopt new technologies. His participation also provided an opportunity to highlight the capabilities and solutions that can help organizations advance their digital transformation journeys.

Eng. Dhari Al-Qurashi also participated in the “For The CIO – By The CIO” track, contributing to a panel discussion titled “How Are IT Leaders, HR Leaders, and Business Leaders Shaping the Future of the Workforce?” The discussion explored how technology, HR, and business leaders are responding to evolving workforce requirements as new technologies reshape roles, skills, and organizational priorities. Additionally, Al-Qurashi represented stc as a member of the advisory council for the IDC Kuwait 2026 conference, contributing alongside technology leaders from various sectors to the broader dialogue on priorities and developments impacting Kuwait’s technology landscape.
