Pakistan: We will go to the furthest extent for the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Arabia

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, announced that his country will "go to any extent" in defending its ally, Saudi Arabia, as the Kingdom faces escalating attacks from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia in Yemen.

In an interview with Arab News, the Pakistan Army spokesperson stated, "We will go to any extent to ensure the security of the Two Holy Mosques and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

Last month, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey signed the "Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense," which obligates the three nations to the principle of mutual defense in the event that any of them is attacked.

Chaudhry added, "Pakistan stands fully with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both diplomatically and on the ground."

He emphasized, "I would like to stress the phrase 'on the ground' here... we will go to any extent."

Chaudhry clarified that Pakistan's commitment includes protecting Islam's two holiest sites, Makkah and Madinah.

He added, "There should be no doubt about this. We will continue to defend the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any aggression."
