Chief of Staff attends Aqaba Initiative meeting in Paris

In the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron, King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun,

Lieutenant General Khalid Al-Shuraim, Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, participated in the Aqaba Initiative meeting held in Paris, France. The meeting was attended by several Chiefs of Staff, military commanders, experts, and representatives from friendly and sister countries, as well as international organizations.

The meeting discussed ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces, and to enhance their capabilities. It also examined mechanisms for coordinating international efforts and exchanging views on security challenges, contributing to the support of security and stability in the sister Republic of Lebanon and the region.

The Chief of Staff’s participation reflects the State of Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening military cooperation and coordination with sister and friendly countries, and to supporting international efforts aimed at consolidating regional security and stability.
