Gold rises on lower oil prices and a weaker dollar

Gold prices rose on Friday, supported by lower oil prices and a weaker U.S. dollar, while market focus remained on developments in the Middle East and global monetary policy outlook.

Spot gold climbed 1.1% to $4,386.39 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $4,425.80, according to Reuters.

Spot silver increased 2.3% to $66.66, heading for a weekly gain.

Platinum also rose 2.3% to $1,810.25, and palladium gained 2.1% to $1,318.50.
