US President: We are approaching a decisive turning point in the confrontation with Iran... all options are on the table
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the confrontation with Iran is approaching a critical turning point, and that large-scale military operations may need to be resumed to end the conflict.
In remarks to Axios, Trump added, “I am facing a major decision soon about whether I want to go in and eliminate the Iranian regime, and all options are on the table.”
He continued, “I want to leverage the United Nations meeting to hear directly from regional allies about the next steps in the war.”
The U.S. President affirmed that “the Iranians are in direct contact with us and still want to reach an agreement.”
Trump expressed that he is “extremely satisfied with the success of the naval blockade in preventing Iran from exporting its oil,” emphasizing that “no ship has reached Iran since we began the blockade.”
