Enlightenment meeting for foreign school principals, English teachers, and educational cadre practitioners

The Ministry of Education is continuing its preparations to participate in the international PIRLS 2026 study, which aims to assess and enhance learners' reading skills in accordance with global educational standards and indicators.

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Assessment and Evaluation Department, organized an informational meeting for principals of participating foreign schools, English language teachers, and educational staff practitioners. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Development and Training Department in the Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Health City area (Jabriya).

The Ministry of Education explained that the meeting is part of the preparations and arrangements for implementing the international PIRLS 2026 study on reading proficiency. The study is overseen by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) and aims to determine learners' performance in reading skills and utilize the study's results to support efforts to improve the educational process, in line with best international standards and practices.
