The Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation at the Applied Sciences University organizes the aptitude test

The General Authority for Applied Education and Training (GAAET) affirmed that the maritime sector is a critical field requiring nationally qualified personnel with high-level technical and specialized training, capable of supporting the development trajectory and serving the State of Kuwait. This statement was made by Mehnaaz Qubazird, Director of the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation under the Authority, on the sidelines of the institute’s administration of aptitude tests for applicants seeking admission to the Maritime Pilotage Program. The program is being conducted for the benefit of the Kuwait Ports Authority as part of a joint cooperation initiative aimed at preparing and qualifying specialized national human resources in the maritime sector.

Qubazird stated that the test aims to assess the applicants’ capabilities and their suitability for enrollment in the program, as a preliminary step toward their preparation and qualification in accordance with the professional and specialized requirements necessary for work in maritime pilotage. She noted that implementing the program reflects the Authority’s, represented by the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation, commitment to strengthening partnerships with labor market stakeholders, aligning training programs with the actual needs of vital sectors in Kuwait, developing high-quality programs, and providing a specialized training environment that contributes to preparing national human resources capable of supporting the development trajectory and serving the state.
