The first handball team of Al-Qurain Club concluded its external training camp held in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, as part of its preparation plan for the upcoming season, which includes various tournaments, as well as the completion of last season’s competitions that were temporarily suspended due to the current regional circumstances.

Al-Qurain Club’s delegation during the camp was headed by Secretary General Khalifa Al-Shahoumi, with the presence of Handball Sector Head Hamad Muzail, administrator Ali Al-Jabba, and the technical staff led by Algerian coach Rabah Ghribi and his assistant Mahab, along with 20 players and the foreign professionals, German player Spohn and Estonian player Diner.

The team played three preparatory matches against Al-Zahra, Heliopolis, and Al-Shams, which provided an important opportunity for the technical staff to test the players’ readiness and allow team members to gain experience against different levels of competition. Coach Ghribi also identified the team’s strengths and worked on addressing its weaknesses.

Hamad Muzail stated that the technical staff made every effort to benefit from the friendly matches by experimenting with various technical and tactical approaches and giving opportunities to the largest possible number of players, with the aim of determining the most ready lineup for the upcoming phase, especially given the overlap between last season’s obligations and the new season’s competitions.
