Jazeera Airways partners with Trip.com to accelerate growth and support tourism

Today, Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, signed a strategic partnership with Trip.com Group, one of the world’s leading travel service providers. The partnership aims to expand Jazeera Airways’ presence in global markets, encourage early bookings, and support the local travel and tourism sectors.

Under the agreement, Trip.com will leverage its extensive global user base, demand forecasting tools, and multi-market platforms to support Jazeera Airways’ network, particularly on new routes and those experiencing fluctuating travel demand. This will be achieved by enhancing the visibility and bookings for these routes, as well as stimulating demand in both origin and destination markets.

Commenting on the partnership, Parathan Pasupathy, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said: “This partnership with Trip.com Group is a significant step in our distribution and growth strategy. Thanks to its global demand ecosystem and advanced AI-powered retail capabilities, we are not only accelerating the performance of our destination network but also evolving how we reach, engage with, and convert traveler interest into actual bookings. We look forward to working together to strengthen Kuwait’s position as a vibrant tourist destination and an efficient hub for connecting flights.”

For his part, C.T. Ooi, Chief Executive Officer of the Air Travel Business at Trip.com Group, stated: “By combining Jazeera Airways’ network and its long-standing experience in its local market with Trip.com’s global reach, demand analytics, and technology capabilities, we can help Jazeera Airways reach promising segments of travelers in key international markets. Our goal is to highlight new and emerging routes while helping travelers discover more of what Kuwait has to offer. We look forward to working closely with Jazeera Airways to support the growth of Kuwait’s tourism and aviation ecosystem.”

As part of the agreement, the two parties will also collaborate on promoting Kuwait as a destination worth visiting or stopping over between flights. This will be done through the creation of content, travel packages, and promotional campaigns that showcase the unique features of Kuwait and the region, in line with national efforts to diversify the economy and stimulate inbound tourism.

Jazeera Airways will also benefit from Trip.com’s advanced next-generation distribution and sales technologies, enabling it to offer more tailored services to specific traveler segments, such as students, residents, and those visiting friends and relatives (VFR). Additionally, the partnership will help increase revenue per passenger by developing pricing packages, offers on ancillary services, and upselling strategies.

The partnership will also enhance the visibility of the Jazeera Airways brand across Trip.com’s owned media platforms, joint marketing campaigns, and customer relationship management initiatives, thereby boosting brand awareness, increasing engagement with potential customers, and helping convert traveler interest into actual bookings.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Jazeera Airways’ ability to continue delivering reliable, high-quality travel experiences at competitive prices, while contributing to the broader vision of enhancing Kuwait’s position as a prominent regional hub for aviation and tourism.

Sulaiman Al-Gharib from Visit Kuwait said: “At Visit Kuwait, we are pleased to witness the signing of an agreement between Jazeera Airways and Trip.com, one of the world’s leading platforms in the tourism and travel sector.”

He added: “This agreement represents a true example of the opportunities and partnerships created through our participation in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which brings together companies and tourism stakeholders under one roof. Such partnerships contribute to strengthening Kuwait’s presence as a tourist destination, opening new markets for national companies, and supporting the growth of the tourism and travel sector and its positive impact on the economy in Kuwait and the region.”
