As foreign company formation and capital inflows grow, the Council of Ministers: Egypt strengthens its attractiveness for foreign investment

The Media Center of the Council of Ministers published an infographic on its social media platforms, highlighting indicators of foreign company establishment and capital inflows. This reflects the continued improvement of Egypt’s investment climate and the strengthening of its attractiveness to foreign investors.
These indicators come amid ongoing efforts to improve the business and investment environment in Egypt through the implementation of reforms aimed at streamlining procedures and enhancing the investment landscape, which have been praised by several international institutions.
The infographic noted that more than 5,000 foreign companies were established in Egypt over a six-month period, representing a 33.7% increase in the number of newly established foreign companies. Specifically, 5,022 foreign companies were registered between January and June 2026, compared to 3,757 during the same period in 2025.
It also highlighted a 20.9% increase in paid-up capital inflows to newly established foreign companies, reaching EGP 21.4 billion from January to June 2026, compared to EGP 17.7 billion during the same period in 2025.
The infographic further outlined the positive international perception of Egypt’s investment climate. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) noted that Egypt has implemented extensive reforms to improve the investment environment and simplify licensing procedures, thereby supporting its position as an attractive investment destination.
For his part, the World Bank affirmed Egypt’s progress in an ambitious reform program aimed at stimulating private investment and creating job opportunities.
