The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced a contribution of one million US dollars by the Kuwaiti Metals Company, represented by its Chairman, Mohamed Ali Al-Naqi, to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund. This contribution supports the resources allocated to finance response, recovery, and damage repair operations.
The Fund noted that this contribution comes amid the continued participation of private sector institutions in supporting the fund, coinciding with its transition to the phase of financing projects and activities related to addressing damage to vital facilities and services in the country.
It added that the ongoing contributions enhance the fund’s capacity to direct its resources toward needs that meet funding requirements, in accordance with established guidelines and standards, and in coordination with the relevant government authorities.
It is worth noting that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was launched on July 5 of last year, initiated by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and following approval by the Council of Ministers. The fund is managed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, which directs its resources to finance response, recovery, and damage repair efforts for essential facilities and services in the country.
