Kuwait strongly condemns: A cowardly act that constitutes a desecration of the sanctity of the Muslim Qibla and a disregard for its status

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the attempt to target the Holy Makkah using a drone launched by the Houthi militia. It affirmed that this cowardly and despicable act constitutes a violation of the sanctity of the Muslims’ qibla, a disregard for its religious significance, and an affront to the feelings of Muslims.

In a statement, the Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with its sister state, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty and security, protect the Two Holy Mosques, and preserve their sanctity. It commended the vigilance and efficiency of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces in intercepting this attempt, and emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
