Social Reform Condemns Disgraceful Houthi Attacks and Declares Full Solidarity with Saudi Arabia
The Social Reform Society expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the disgraceful Houthi attacks targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming that these attacks constitute a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and the safety of civilians, and exacerbates tension and instability.
Hamad Al-Ali, the Secretary-General of the Society, stated that targeting cities, populated areas, and civilian facilities, and endangering the lives of civilians, represents a violation of legitimate, humanitarian, and ethical values. He emphasized that terrorizing the safe and targeting civilians cannot be justified under any pretext, and that the peoples of the region deserve to live in security and stability, free from missiles, threats, and the risks of escalation. He stressed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, and that anything affecting its security and stability affects the security of the Gulf, its peoples, and the stability of the region.
Al-Ali expressed his profound condemnation of any attempt to harm the Holy City of Makkah or endanger its security and the safety of its visitors, affirming that Islamic sanctities possess their inviolability and a distinguished status among Muslims. He noted that protecting the Two Holy Mosques and ensuring the safety of the guests of Allah is a responsibility that holds a firm place in the hearts of Muslims, especially since the security of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of their visitors admit no tampering or negligence.
Al-Ali underscored that the position of the Social Reform Society stems from Kuwait’s steadfast commitment to supporting the security of GCC states, strengthening Arab and Islamic solidarity, rejecting violence and the targeting of civilians, and calling for peace, stability, and the preservation of lives. He called upon the international community and concerned states to assume their responsibilities in protecting civilians and civilian facilities, and to work toward halting the escalation and sparing the region further tension.
Al-Ali concluded by affirming the Society’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people, and by asking Almighty God to protect the Kingdom and its people, the Gulf states and their peoples, to perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon them, and to protect the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
