Foreign Minister Discusses Cooperation with UK Foreign Secretary in Areas of Politics, Defense, Investment, and Culture

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber met with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Ed Miliband, during the Foreign Minister’s official visit to the British capital, London.

The meeting reviewed the entrenched strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and the close historical ties binding their peoples. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation frameworks across various fields, particularly political, defense, investment, and cultural, reflecting the robustness of the distinguished relations between the two countries and advancing them to broader horizons in the interest of their shared objectives.

The latest regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region, as well as ensuring the safety and freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, were also discussed. Both sides emphasized their commitment to intensifying Kuwaiti-British coordination across various levels and platforms, in light of the delicate circumstances the region is experiencing, thereby enhancing their capacity to confront current challenges and respond to rapid developments.
