Asala in Damascus... Tomorrow

Singer Asala Nasri is preparing to return to performing in Syria after an absence of nearly 15 years, through two concerts at the Fihah Hall in the capital, Damascus, on the 17th and 19th of this month, under the title “The Return of Authenticity.”

The concerts are held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Syrian Artists Syndicate, and organized by the company “Ugar.”

The return holds special significance for Asala and her audience, as her last official concert in Damascus was in 2010. The event also coincides with the release of her “Syrian Album,” which features 14 songs inspired by Syrian musical heritage, celebrating the cultural diversity of Syria’s governorates.

The concerts attracted significant public interest, with reports indicating that tickets sold out shortly after going on sale. The organizer announced that half of the proceeds from the two concerts will be donated to charitable organizations.
