In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and the promotion of sustainable practices, in alignment with the social and environmental dimensions of its approach within the framework of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) participated in supporting an initiative to collect used school supplies, organized by Al Jahra Mall coinciding with the back-to-school season. The initiative aimed to encourage community members to donate school supplies that are still in good condition for reuse, ensuring they are recycled and distributed to needy families. The initiative saw participation from various age groups, supported by volunteers who contributed to the collection and sorting processes, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and community responsibility, and helping to reinforce awareness of the importance of conserving resources and reducing waste. On this occasion, Abdulaziz Al-Thawab, Assistant Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “At KIB, we believe that community initiatives derive their true value when they provide individuals with the opportunity to participate in creating a positive impact. This underscores the importance of our support for this initiative, which transformed unused school supplies from some into resources that others can benefit from, coinciding with the start of the new academic year.”
