Manchester United face Brighton in the League Cup

After recording mixed results in the Premier League this week, Manchester United will host Brighton today at Old Trafford in the third round of the EFL Cup. Historically, United hold the edge over Brighton in their head-to-head meetings in the EFL Cup, having faced each other three times, with United winning twice and drawing once, according to Transfermarkt.

Manchester United will enter the match with several absences, including Tom Heaton, Matthijs de Ligt, Carlos Baleba, Manuel Ugarte, and Amad Diallo, while Luke Shaw’s participation remains in doubt.
