Egyptian President reaffirms to Saudi Crown Prince Egypt's full condemnation of any attacks undermining the Kingdom's sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity

In accordance with the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz paid a working visit to Egypt, where he was received at Cairo International Airport by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that the visit aims to discuss ways to enhance fraternal bilateral relations and address issues of mutual interest.

For his part, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency announced that the reception included a commemorative photograph marking the visit, followed by a closed-door bilateral meeting between the President and the Crown Prince, and then an expanded discussion session attended by delegations from both countries. This was followed by a luncheon hosted by el-Sisi in honor of the guest of honor and his accompanying delegation.

The official spokesperson, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Shenawi, noted that el-Sisi welcomed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Egypt, praising the deep fraternal ties binding the two brotherly nations. He conveyed the President’s greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, extending congratulations to His Majesty, the Crown Prince, and the Saudi people on the occasion of the upcoming Saudi National Day on the 23rd of the current month.

The spokesperson added that the Crown Prince emphasized the solid fraternal bonds between the two countries, expressing his pleasure at visiting Egypt and meeting President el-Sisi. He commended the continuous development of bilateral relations and the mutual commitment to continuing coordination and cooperation, as well as exploring new horizons for collaboration across various fields.

The official spokesperson clarified that the meeting witnessed agreement between the President and the Crown Prince that relations between Egypt and the Kingdom must be exemplary within the Arab framework. They affirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia and Gulf states is part of Egypt’s national security, with Egypt fully reserving, rejecting, and condemning any aggression or threats against the sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity of the Kingdom, or freedom of navigation in international sea lanes. They stressed that current circumstances require greater solidarity and coordination between the two countries, noting that their interests and objectives are aligned and that there is absolute understanding between them. The Crown Prince’s visit underscores the full solidarity and brotherhood between Egypt, the Kingdom, and all Gulf states.

In the same context, the two leaders agreed on the necessity of intensifying efforts to formulate and implement practical measures to develop bilateral cooperation and remove any obstacles hindering the growth of trade and investment, thereby elevating relations to a level commensurate with the historical ties and strategic proximity between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The official spokesperson added that the discussions covered regional developments and current challenges, with el-Sisi reiterating Egypt’s firm stance in supporting Saudi Arabia and all Arab countries in facing current regional circumstances. In this regard, they emphasized the need to intensify coordination and communication between the two countries. The Crown Prince expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s positions under President el-Sisi’s leadership in supporting regional stability and peace efforts, commending Egyptian solidarity and support for the Kingdom in facing recent geopolitical challenges. They also reaffirmed the Egyptian-Saudi position keen on ensuring freedom and security of maritime navigation in the Hormuz Strait, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea. President el-Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and stability, and to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The official spokesperson noted that the meeting witnessed confirmation of the alignment of Egyptian and Saudi positions regarding the Palestinian issue, and the necessity of reaching a just and comprehensive settlement based on the two-state solution and resolutions of international legitimacy. They also emphasized the need to implement the commitments of the second phase of the US President’s peace plan and Security Council Resolution 2803, as well as the necessity of allowing sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid into the sector and halting Israeli violations in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

They further reaffirmed the continued support of Egypt and Saudi Arabia for the security and stability of Sudan, the exclusivity of its national institutions, and the rejection of equating the Sudanese Armed Forces with any militias or parallel illegal entities. They stressed that any threat to the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territory poses a risk to the collective security of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and all countries in the region.

The official spokesperson concluded by noting that the meeting also witnessed confirmation of shared Egyptian-Saudi positions regarding support for the sovereignty and stability of all Arab countries. Both sides agreed to continue consultation and direct coordination in the coming period on various bilateral issues and regional developments.
