Council of Ministers: Continuous growth in Egypt's outsourcing industry

Cairo – Ahmed Sabri: The Media Center of the Council of Ministers published an infographic via its social media platforms, highlighting the continuous growth of the outsourcing industry in Egypt, as part of the state’s efforts to attract investments from global companies in this sector.

The outsourcing industry stands out as one of the most promising sectors for the Egyptian economy, with the state aiming to achieve a significant boom in this field. This comes amid growing interest from global companies, which hold prominent positions in technology and outsourcing services, to expand their operations in Egypt by injecting new investments and increasing their workforce.

This reflects Egypt’s distinguished status as a global hub for outsourcing services, a position that has been solidified in recent years due to the state’s successful efforts in providing a conducive environment for the growth of global companies operating in the outsourcing sector, as well as investing in digital skills to prepare qualified specialists to export digital services in multiple languages at competitive costs.

The infographic outlined the key indicators of Egypt’s outsourcing industry, noting that the number of companies operating in this field has reached 252, including 177 global companies. The number of specialized outsourcing service centers has reached 282, while the number of specialists in outsourcing service exports has exceeded 195,000 by the end of the first half of this year.

The infographic further indicated that Alexandria Governorate has, over the past 15 years, cemented its status as one of the main centers for the outsourcing industry in Egypt. It hosts four global companies providing outsourcing services: the American company Sutherland, the French company Teleperformance (TP), the American company Concentrix, and the British company VOIS, employing approximately 15,000 specialists.
